802.15.4 Technology
802.15.4 is a short-range wireless standard and has been developed for low data communication from residential through to industrial contexts. 802.15.4 has been developed to provide low-cost, low power, two-way wireless communications for consumer electronics, home and building automation, industrial control and medical sensor applications. Supporting a number of networking topologies, embedded security and the ability to discover other devices, 802.15.4 provides a suitable choice for many industrial applications including data logging and machine control.
Our 802.15.4 products are intended for low cost, low power and secure communication in a variety of applications, including Smart Metering, Personal Home and Healthcare, Building Management, RFID and Cable Replacement aimed at sending short packets of information at rates of up to 20Kbps on 280Kbps on proprietary 802.15.4.
