WhizNets Announces Embedded Wi-Fi Access Point Modules

Sunnyvale, CA -- June 06, 2012 – WhizNets Inc., provider of small footprint, low cost and easy to integrate embedded wireless solutions for niche market, announces the availability of a Soft AP embedded WiFi module. The module is supported by software SDK featuring dual mode (soft AP and client) and is compliant to IEEE 802.11b/g/n.
With this solution, any embedded Wi-Fi enabled product can act as an access point. Access Point support allows users of notebooks, tablets, smart phones or other WiFi enabled clients to easily establish a connection with embedded device. WhizNets WiFi soft AP modules have support for Linux, Android, RTOS and SuperLoop (No OS). WhizNets SDK supports multiple processors like Cortex-M3, Cortex-M4, ARM9, ARM11, AVR, PIC32 and many more. Module supports SPI or SDIO interface to your micro-controller.
Modules are pin compatible and SDK API compatible with the existing client only WhizNets’ Wi-Fi module solution. It allows enhancing and extending the functionality of current product without any design.
