WHZ9188 is an embedded serial to WLAN module that connects systems to 802.11b/g/n Wireless LANs using UART interface. Module gives Wireless WLAN connectivity to host micro-controller, using UART interface of host micro-controller. The solution offloads the host from the implementation of Wi-Fi protocol, security algorithms and TCP/IP communication protocol. TCP/IP stack can be bypassed to have TCP/IP stack on host. AT command based software interface.

Module with small footprint is a stand-alone low cost solution which makes WLAN technology easy to embed into new or existing designs. For low volume applications, module eliminates the need to create custom WLAN designs, resulting in greatly reduced development risk, costs and time-to-market. Design license of firmware and hardware is available for medium to high volume applications and customization requirements.
